A starter guide to dance lessons online in Japan
Virtual learning has become the new normal for many people across the globe. Not only is it a convenient, accessible and safer due to the global pandemic, it can also be cheaper too.
Fortunately in Japan, there are a few dance studios offering online lessons which means dancers can still train but feel safer in their chosen environment.

Other advantages to taking online lessons which are unrelated to the pandemic is that it’s a great way to build your confidence if you are a beginner dancer. If you feel being in a class is too intimidating, practicing in your own surroundings helps take the pressure off.
Stuck on a certain dance move? What to practice that turn a little bit more? Unsure about what the teacher just said/did? Depending on the video features, you can rewind, fast forward or stop the videos and proceed at your pace.
Another advantage of online lessons are if you are busy or have a change of schedule and miss your favorite lesson, some studios allow you to access an archive or a certain time period to view the lesson in.
If you are interested in attending lessons at a virtual dance studio, please check out the list below of studios who offer lessons on the World Wide Web:
